Take Your Place in the Ranks.
Every man begins with the duties of the Soldier—learning his arms, the School of the Soldier, discipline in the ranks, and steadfast service with his Company. Prove dependable in drill and field service, and earn advancement upon the rolls.
The Backbone of the Regulars.
The Sergeant is charged with the discipline and instruction of the men entrusted to him. Know your Soldiers, maintain the standard of the Company, instruct the ranks, and lead from the front when the Regiment takes the field.
Accept the Responsibility of Command.
A commission carries both distinction and obligation. Officers are expected to master Company and Battalion instruction, qualify with the revolver, maintain the discipline of their command, and lead the Regulars with judgment, steadiness, and honor.
One Official Record of Service
Your Service Is Entered Upon the Rolls.
From the day a Soldier enters the ranks, his service shall be entered and preserved upon the official rolls of the Battalion. His instruction, qualifications, arms issued, musters, appointments, promotions, and honors shall follow him throughout his service with the Regiment.
