Why Join the 17th?

Serve Beneath the Company Colors.

The Colors represent more than the unit name. They become a visible record of what the Company has accomplished together.

Honors of the Company

Your Service Helps Build Their History.

Instead of ordinary achievement badges, the 17th uses wax seals upon the Company Colors. Seals are earned through Company milestones—training, field service, recruiting, rifle qualification, leadership, campaigns, and other collective achievements.

Every Muster MattersYour attendance contributes to the strength and service record of the Company.
Every Qualification MattersCompany qualification milestones can contribute toward honors carried upon the Colors.
Every Soldier MattersRecruitment, NCO leadership, readiness, schools, and field service are collective accomplishments.
Carry Them in BattleThe Colors are the visible emblem of the Company beside which you drill, march, and fight.

When you enlist, your name is not merely added to a list. Your service helps write the history represented by the Colors the Company carries onto the battlefield.

Join the Men Behind the Colors.
